The Western Regional Minister, E. K. T. Addo, has reiterated the call for increased participation of women in politics and local governance through the removal of barriers that impede their involvement.
This includes ensuring transparency in political and legislative process, accepting new ideas about gender roles in society and enhancing their financial and economic capabilities.
Mr. Addo was speaking at the Western Regional Launch of the Open Society for West Africa, OSIWA and African Women International in Takoradi.
