Komla Dumor Goes Home Today

Komla Afeke Dumor born on 3 October 1972,died on 18 January 2014 in his London home after a cardiac arrest, having been on air the day before.

Komla’s body was flown back to Ghana on 3 February 2014 where it was received at the Kotoka International Airport by a group of friends, families, government officials, sympathizers and members of the Aflao traditional council, who also performed some traditional rites, since Aflao was his hometown

A solemn requiem mass will be held for him at the Holy Spirit Cathedral after which the body will be laid in state for public viewing in the afternoon.

The mortal remains of late BBC Ghanaian Journalist Komla Dumor will be interred on Saturday in a private family ceremony.

A liturgical service will be held on the 22nd of February 2014 at the forecourt of State House. There will be a private family burial.

Finally, there will be a Thanksgiving Service on the 23rd of February 2014 also at the Holy Spirit Cathedral.
