Is Nyaho-Tamakloe Seeking To Decimate The NPP’s Front? Kwamena Duncan Openly Wonders

Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), on Tuesday questioned the composition of the party’s national Vetting Committee saying it lacks fair ethnic representation.

According to him, the huge Akan representation on the committee “reinforces the huge perception in the public domain that the party is Akan-dominated”. He also had issues with the disqualification of some of the aspirants asserting that it beats his imagination why three out of the five aspirants that were disqualified by the committee were from the north.

His remarks have not gone down well with other party stalwarts.

Speaking to the issue on Wednesday’s edition of ‘Kokrokoo’, Central Regional Secretary of the NPP, Kwamena Duncan said he cannot fathom the underlying factor of Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe’s claims.

Even though Kwamena Duncan is of a strong opinion the Daily Graphic newspaper deliberately sought the views of Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe because of his recent caustic attack on the NPP leadership, he believes the NPP Founding Member fueling the propaganda rhetoric of their political opponents and.should not have uttered those remarks.

“Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe tags himself as a leading member…I don’t understand; look at his comments. I wonder if Daily Graphic went to set a trap for him to make such comments. Nowadays they (Daily Graphic) intentionally look for people who can throw bombs…is that how to be a leading member? Is this the party you love? Are you seeking to decimate the front of this party? If he is playing a certain role for obvious reasons, he should let us know but to continue to tag himself as a leading member and then make such comments, I beg to differ,” Kwamena Duncan said.
