Kasapreko Company Limited (KCL), one of the leading indigenous beverage producing companies in Ghana, has donated a sum of GHc10,000 to orphans at the SOS Children Village at Tema, in the Greater Accra Region .

The company, which started from a very humble beginning back in 1989 at Nungua, a suburb of Accra, also gave items such as Milo, rice, white sugar, milk, toiletries and assorted soaps, worth about GHc5,000 to the Home – all aimed at putting smiles on the faces of the orphans.

Presenting the items and the cash, Kojo Nunoo, Deputy Managing Director of Kasapreko, stated that the company, being an indigenous one, stood for quality and authenticity and that it was happy to be linked with the qualitative education and family life being given to the young ones at the SOS.

According to him, the children represented the future of Ghana and so they deserved every opportunity to unlock their God- given talents and apply them judiciously to impact positively on society.

‘Opportunity comes but once in life. Therefore, neither the staff nor students of the SOS Village should let any opportunity slip past them’ he advised.

Mr. Nunoo charged the orphans ‘to think out of the box, be innovative and proactive’. That, he said, was the secret to success in life.

Director of the Tema SOS Children’s Village, Isaac Kojo Ackon, expressed deep appreciation to KCL for their support.
