Isaac Vorsah To Miss World Cup?

Ghana could show up at Rio in June without influential defender Isaac Vorsah due to his injury complications.

The 25-year-old has been on the sidelines for close to eight months with a knee problem and as things stand now, it is unclear whether he could return in time to play for Ghana at the World Cup.

Vorsah was initially ruled out with an anterior cruciate ligament tear which was supposed to last for six months but the former Hoffenheim defender has taken two months more to recover.

It is widely unknown when he could return to training for Red Bull Salzburg and if he is unable to recover before the end of May it will be highly unlikely for Kwesi Appiah to include him in his squad for the tournament.

The presence Rashid Sumaila, Jonathan Mensah, John Boye and probably Lee Addy has given some boost to the Ghana defence and Kwesi Appiah will not be too worried by Vorsah’s unavailability at the tournament.
