The General Secretary of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) says no amount of prayers from Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams can salvage the economy so long as President John Mahama is at the helm of affairs.
“Prayers alone cannot help John Mahama. Ten of Duncan-Williams cannot help John Mahama. It’s the NPP [that] will rescue this country from the quagmire [in which] we find ourselves and I have no doubt at all”, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie told XYZ News Thursday.
According to him, “now you could see that Ghanaians are suffering. There’s too much suffering in the land. Now this Government has no clue [about] what is happening”, Sir John, as Mr Owusu Afriyie is called.

Sir John however believes the problems confronting the economy are one of incompetence rather than spiritual.
