OSEI-KUSI FOUNDATION CELEBRATES VALENTINE WITH INMATES OF NSAWAM, PRISONS (FEMALE DIVISION)


Osei-Kusi Foundation, a youth resource and development organization based in Accra choose to use the season of love to fete over ninety inmates at the female division of the Nsawam Medium Security Prisons.

The Foundation in collaboration with West African Aids Foundation (WAAF) and the Campus Christian Fellowship (CCF) of the Ghana Institute of Journalism presented the inmates with packs of foods, soft drinks, sanitary pads and mineral water worth over GH₵ 2,000.

The Executive President of Osei-Kusi Foundation, Mr. Kofi Osei-Kusi in his address to the inmates encouraged them to trust in God and not to be saddened by their current situation. He reminded them that God still loves each one of them and has great plans for their future.

Dr. Naa Ashiley Vanderpuye-Donton, CEO of West African Aids Foundation used the occasion to educate the inmates on HIV Aids, breast cancer, cervical cancer and proper hygenic practices.

The Acting Officer in Charge of the Nsawam Female prisons CSP Magaret Dangah who welcomed the team, expressed her profound appreciation on behalf of the inmates and staff of the prisons for the love demonstrated by the Foundation and it’s partners. She used the occasion to encourage the inmates to love one another. She also thanked Osei-Kusi Foundation for the regular support they give to the prison and wished the Foundation success in all of its programmes.
