Norwegian second-tier side FC Bryne are not giving up on signing Ghanaian midfielder King Osei Gyan.

The 25-year-old has been available on a free transfer after ending his contract with Norwegian top-flight side Viking last November.

Bryne immediately contacted Gyan but he said at the time that he was hoping to move to an elite division side in in Denmark or Sweden.

“In a few days I will confirm which club I will play for. Currently, not all is fine but it will be soon,” Gyan told Eve magazine.

He joined Viking in 2011 and played for three seasons and before that had made 57 appearances for Germinal Beershot in the Belgian top flight.

Bryne coach Gaute Larsen is still keeping an eye on Gyan’s situation after failing to sign compatriot Reuben Ayarna.

“We still have time, and if the King Osei Gyan was going to change his mind, he will be a nice idea for us. Not just football wise, he has also gained an excellent reputation as a person of Jon Helge Tveita who is a good friend,” says Larsen.
