Ghanaian youth defender Daniel Boateng was on the bench for Hibernian when they suffered a heartbreaking exit from the Scottish League Cup after losing at home to Raith Rovers on Saturday.
The 21-year-old, who has moved to the Easter Road Stadium until the end of the season from Arsenal, was unused by manager Ian Butcher as they suffered a surprising home loss to Scottish Championship side Raith Rovers.
The host were made to fight from behind twice in the game but could not equalise the third scored by Grant Anderson in the 63rd minute as they lost the game and exited the competition.
Boateng is yet to make his official debut for Hibs since joining them on transfer deadline day.
