Agyemang-Badu rounds off Udinese win with a goal

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu keeps staking his claim for a call in the 2014 World Cup tournament in Brazil as his performance for Italian club Udinese has been up the notch. The Ghanaian midfielder returned to the starting XI for Udinese in their home game against Chievo Verona in the Italian Serie A after a rest in midweek for the Italian Cup.

The game was balanced in the first half as both clubs went into the interval without conceding a goal. Udinese upped their game in the second half as Antonio Di Natale drew first blood for the home side eleven minutes after the first half break. Bruno Fernandes doubled the lead for Udinese in the 74 th minute to secure their position in the quest for three points.

With just four minutes of regular time to play, Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu drilled home after an impressive work from Muriel and Fernandes to put the game out of Chievo’s reach.

The 3-0 final score-line in Udinese’s favour puts Badu’s side 13 th on the Serie A log with 26 points from 23 games.

Agyemang-Badu played in the entire duration of the game without a booking. Follow @@kboakye92 https://twitter.com/@kboakye92
