Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, leader of the Glorious Word Ministry International, has publicly stated that the Ashanti King, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, would have joined his ancestors, but for some powerful prayers he recently said to God.
Rev. Owusu Bempah is making this interesting disclosure when dust is yet to settle on the widely publicized speculation that the Ashanti King had died.
The death speculation was going out of hand until Otumfuo’s return from South Africa a few days silenced the rumour mongers.
Speaking on Okay FM on Thursday, Rev. Owusu Bempah said on the last day of 2013, God personally asked him to pray to save the life of the Ashanti King.
‘I fell in a trance and the Lord revealed something to me. In that experience, I saw a buck (goat) tied to a tree and I saw a king clothed in his traditional outfit order an executioner to slaughter the animal.
‘As the action was about to happen, I saw another goat which was a nanny come out to save the tied goat. I asked God to explain the revelation to me and He explained to me that the goat I saw was Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the nanny was his mother.
God further told me that if we don’t pray for Otumfuo and his mother, they might pass away. But we prayed for him and his mother and this averted the sad story,’ the man of God said on Okay FM.
Meanwhile, the Ashanti Kingdom has invoked curses on the originators of the speculation.
