Accra, Feb 5, GNA- The United Nation Information Centre (UNIC) has opened a two-week graduate study programme to qualified post graduate students at the Palais des Nations, Geneva all over the world.
A statement signed by Ms. Cynthia Prah, the national information officer, copied to the Ghana News Agency, indicated that the programme will examine the role that the United Nations is playing in seeking multilateral solutions to global issues.
The 52nd Geneva graduate study programme which is on the theme ‘Empowering youth: how can the United Nation lead the way forward?’ will take place from 30th June to 11th July 2014.
It said senior officials and experts of the United Nations and the Geneva-based specialized agencies, will conduct a series of lectures and participate in working groups.
‘Participants are expected to submit applications as well as the requested documents on line’, the statement said.
The statement disclosed that relevant information on the graduate study programme is also being sent to government authorities through the Permanent Missions and Permanent Observer Offices.
It urged participants to kindly check the UNOG website at www.unog.ch/gsp en for application form and detailed information.
The deadline for the receipt of applications for the graduate study programme is Friday 7th march 2014. Selected candidate will be notified of their selection by mid-April 2014, the statement concluded.
