Military Has Not Commenced Recruitment Exercise

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has announced that it had not started recruitment exercise and appealed to persons seeking to be enlisted or enrolled into the military should exercise patience until an official announcement or advertisement.

A statement signed by Lieutenant Commander M. A. Larbi for the GAF Director of Public Relations said GAF had not contracted any organizations or individuals, including soldiers, as intermediaries or recruiting agents.

It advised the public to be wary of those peddling the rumours about the recruitment process and to desist from engaging the service of such fraudsters or fall prey to such fraudsters.

The statement said GAF also sought the support of the public to curb the menace of recruitment fraud and appealed to the public to report any individuals, including soldiers, who claim to have the ability to recruit or assist to recruit persons into the GAF to the nearest police station or military installation.

“GAF assures the public of an enhanced application process and the smooth conduct of the next recruitment exercise during the course of the year,” the statement said.
