New Edubiase pip Aduana Stars at Bekwai

New Edubiase United earned a hard-fought victory over Aduana stars in their First Capital Plus Premier League match played at the Bekwai Park at Bekwai.

Nuhu Fuseini’s second half strike handed the home side all the maximum points.

Both sides played their best as the match gathered momentum until the first half ended goalless.

Edubiase started the second half on a good note, and in the 4th minute of the second half Nuhu Fuseini blasted home the first and only goal of the game.

The home team kept up the pressure to maintain their lead, whiles the dangerous and strong counter-attack by Aduana Stars consistently threatened to find the equaliser.

Both sides give out their best as the match gathered momentum, especially in the latter minutes of the game, until referee E.R. Biney blew his whistle for the end of the match.

New Edubiase have now won five, drawn two and lost only once (against Heart of Oak) at their favourite Bekwai Park this season, and this result leaves them two points on twenty one points, two pints above Aduana Stars.

Edubiase will travel to Cape Coast to play Ebusua Dwarfs whiles Aduana Stars will hope to put smiles on the home fans when they host struggling Hearts of Oak at Dormaa in the week 17 of the First Capital Plus Premier League on February 15.
