Ashantigold defender Tijani Joshua says he is happy to be recognised by CAF following the announcement that he is part of CAF’s Chan 2014 Team of the Tournament.
The Local Black Stars left full-back was named in the Championship for African Nations best eleven team by CAF, alongside Black Stars captain Jordan Opoku and Asante Kotoko stiker Seidu Bancey.
Tijani, who missed the crucial penalty to hand the trophy to Libya in the finals of the competition, says he is motivated to work even harder after he was included in the CHAN best eleven team.
“I am very excited to be part of the team,” Tijani said.
“I felt sad when i missed that penalty but my confidence has been boosted after I was named to in the (CHAN IX) team.
“I will work harder for my club, and my country anytime I’m called upon.”
Stephen Adams, Yahaya Mohammed and Samuel Abeiku Ainooson are the other Ghanaians on the substitutes in the CAF CHAN team of the tournament.
