The man who is suspected to have attacked the Ghana international on Christmas Day is in the grips of the German police.
The person who allegedly attacked Kevin-Prince Boateng on Christmas Day in Kaarst has been arrested, according to German police spokesman Heinz-Willi Arnold.
The suspect is a 28-year-old who is a friend of Boateng’s former wife Jennifer.
“We have been able to identify him because of statements of the victim and witnesses,” Arnold told the Bild. “And we handed over the case to the prosecutor for further processing. They are now charging the suspect for assault.”
The Schalke midfielder was slightly injured in the attack that took place in front of his ex-wife’s home in the Kaarster district.
