In all his time at AIK since 2011, Karikari scored a total of 14 goals including 6 whilst on loan at Degefors in 2012, but after switching countries to Turkey and to Balikesirspor on a season long loan, the 22 year old has found his scoring touch and is banging in the goals in avalanches, and decisive ones too.
Last Sunday against Demirspor was yet another occasion for Karikari to prove decisive, his 69 th minute strike bagging all three points for Balikesirspor who moved up to third on the league log on 42 points from 22 games, hot on the heels of leaders Ankarasapor (47) and 2 nd placed Istanbul BB (44).
Karikari thereby increased his season’s tally to 11, making him the second highest scorer in Turkey’s second tier league where compatriot Emmanuel Banahene has also banged 7 goals for mid-table Saliurfaspor.
