GPL Preview: Hearts of Oak eye revenge

By Fiifi Anaman
On the last day of the first round, Hearts endured a humiliatingly forgettable afternoon up North in Wa, as they were brought to their knees by home side Wa All Stars.

On Wednesday, when the league resumes, The Phobians will have a chance to avenge that defeat as they welcome Wa All Stars to the Accra Sports Stadium after a two-game home ban http://allsports.com.gh/2014/02/04/hearts-return-to-accra-after-two-home-game-ban/ .

Coach Mohammed Polo’s charges now have only the league to focus on and therefore will hope to approach it with all seriousness, as they were eliminated from the MTN FA Cup by Bibiani Gold Stars last month.

Wa All Stars arrive in Accra knowing they have been poor on the road this season, winning only once and losing five times in seven away matches thus far.

Hearts home form doesn’t look to impressive either for their own standards; chalking three wins out of seven, but they will be hoping to win to bring them within four points against leaders Kotoko who will have a game in hand.

Wa All Stars will hope to draw inspiration from the fact that they have not lost to Hearts in their last three meetings, coming out tops twice.

The match is at 15:30 GMT and it will be carried live on the official league broadcaster SuperSport.
