inspire other corporate entities to also come on board to finance the sport at all levels in this country.
“I want to use this opportunity to call on other corporate bodies to emulate what first Capital Plus have done here and I hope this will strengthen the relationship between the GFA and the corporate world. First Capital Plus are very young in the industry but they have shown that they can rub shoulders with the ‘Methuselahs’ and take a giant step like this and I’m proud that they are 100% Ghanaian owned,” the Sports Minister said.
Also acknowledging the essence of the First Capital Plus deal is GFA capo, Kwesi Nyantakyi who is especially thrilled with the new sponsors’ planned packages for football fans who throng the stadiums to support their clubs in action in the First Capital Plus Premier League.
“Football without supporters is like fufu without soup that’s why we are extremely excited by the plan of First Capital Plus to launch a lot of raffles and promotions to reward supporters who attend games to cheer on their teams. For the first time ever there is a package for the fans,” Nyantakyi said.
The Ghana FA boss continued: “I can assure them that the GFA, all clubs, GFA and club executives will all open accounts with First Capital Plus. We will help the bank to build a strong niche.”
