The Moslem Council in Ashaiman has entreated the police to deal drastically with a 37-year-old fake mallam at Freetown, a suburb of Asensu Bar in the Tebibiano Electoral Area in Ashaiman, for luring young innocent Muslim girls into his room, where he makes them suck his penis.
Ibrahim Salliah, who is popularly known as DD in the neighbourhood, according to the leadership of the area’s Muslim Council, is not a qualified Arabic teacher (mallam) and his supposed Arabic School, which is a makeshift facility in his room, is not a recognised one by the Islamic Teachers’ Council in Ashaiman.
Alhaji Mustapha Harun Sisse, Ashaiman Municipal Chief Imam, told The Finder in an interview that the conduct of Ibrahim, who is presently in police custody after his alleged sexual abuse activities were exposed, is unacceptable in Islam “and if it were somewhere, the Sharia Law would have dealt with him straight away.”
Speaking in Hausa, Alhaji Sisse said, “Ibrahim must not be spared at all by the police. The laws of the land must deal with him for his disgraceful and shameful act which is so abominable in Islam.”
He added, “As soon as possible, I, on behalf of the Ashaiman Muslim Council, call on the assembly and Social Welfare to move to Ibrahim’s house and close his makeshift school down.”
Ibrahim DD’s last victim, a 16-year-old final year student of Camisco Junior High School at Ashaiman Jericho, according to information The Finder gathered, had been relocated to the Northern Region to avoid societal stigma and discrimination.
However, the Ashaiman Chief Imam said the council was interacting with the parents of the victim to allow the girl come back to school to prepare for her final year exams in June.
Meanwhile, Chief Salisu Yaro, the Ashaiman Zongo Chief, told The Finder at the Ashaiman Central Mosque last Friday that the Ashaiman Muslim Council, with the Islamic Teachers’ Association, would embark on a critical operation to check the activities of the Islamic schools in the area “and any school that would be identified as one that is not properly registered with the association would be closed down.”
Some Moslem youth of the area have told The Finder that they would physically attack Ibrahim DD should the police release him to integrate with them at Freetown, where he resides.
Mallam Ibrahim DD, according to information The Finder gathered from some mothers at Freetown, lured the innocent girls into his room, where during the process of teaching them Quran, he asked them to suck his penis until he discharges semen.
A mother, whose name is withheld, claimed, “My 15-year-old daughter complained to me that sometime in December Mallam Ibrahim invited her to his room to join him recite some Quran scriptures together. During the studies, Mallam Ibrahim, my daughter said, played some advances on her and she said before she would realise, she was sucking his penis and she did that until he discharged semen.”
Interestingly, The Finder gathered that Mallam Ibrahim DD had special interest in pretty young Moslem girls. Some alleged the fake mallam uses charm on the girls.
Searching for an evidence to nail him, therefore, a victim’s brother in the area, The Finder gathered, got his camera ready one hot afternoon when Ibrahim DD invited a girl into his room.
Cork sure of what would take place inside the room, the victim’s brother was said to have perched around Mallam Ibrahim’s window and when he started hearing the sexual groaning of Mallam Ibrahim, he sneaked into his room and took shots of Mallam Ibrahim in the act.
