Konadu supports Adams’ call-up into Black Stars

Maxwell Konadu, the coach of the Local Black Stars says he agrees with people who think the time is due for Stephen Adams, the Stars goalkeeper in the just ended African Nations Championship (CHAN) to be given a chance in the mainstream Black Stars.

“ Adams is a fantastic goalkeeper with a lot of prospects. He is one of the best goalkeepers, the tournament saw.

“I overheard calls from the fans for him to be included in the main Black Stars and I agree with perfectly, but because the head coach of the Stars is here, we have to leave everything to him, Maxwell told Allsports.com.gh.

Black Stars boss Kwasi Appiah in an interview with reporters http://http://allsports.com.gh/2014/02/03/kwesi-appiah-only-i-will-determine-adams-fate/ said the Aduana shot stopper could not use three  or four games to convince him of his place at the World Cup.

Stephen Adams conceded only a goal in six (6) matches during the CHAN tournament, making him the goalkeeper with the least goals conceded.

The Aduana Stars goalkeeper had his first call-up into the Black Stars in 2010, when he was named in the provisional squad for the World Cup in South Africa, but he failed to make the final mark.
