Asante Kotoko boss Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has praised the performance of Kotoko players that participated at the just ended CHAN tournament.
The Porcupine Warriors had eight players in the Local Black Stars team – Isaac Amoako, Abeiku Ainooson, Kwabena Adusei, Michael Akuffu, Jordan Opoku, Richard Mpong, Yahaya Mohammed and Seidu Bancey.
Jordan Opoku, Seidu Bansey, Abeiku Ainooson and Yahaya Mohammed were named in the CAF eighteen best players at the tournament.
Dramani told Allsports that he is satisfied with the commitment level of his players at the tournament and hopes their exposure will help the Porcupine Warriors perform better at this year’s CAF Champions League campaign.
“My players did well and i appreciate their commitment level at the tournament. I believe the experience they got at the tournament will help us at the African campaign.”
“I told them to prove their worth and showcase that their call-ups were justified.
” I confided in coach Konadu on how to use the players since I train with them everyday and know their capabilities .
“They all did extremely well and have made me proud. I will surely count on their experience from the tournament”
Kumasi Asante Kotoko will begin their quest for continental glory in the CAF Champions League against Liberia’s Barrack Young Controllers F.C (B.Y.C).
The Ghanaian champions will host the Liberian side in the first leg of the preliminary tie on the weekend of February 7-9 2013.
