Catania and Livorno shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw.

Alfred Duncan was booked in the 20th minute and he lasted the full 90 minutes but AC Milan loanee Kingsley Boateng sat on the Catania bench.

Maxwell Acosty was axed from the Chievo Verona first team when they lost 3-0 to Lazio at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi in Verona.

Fred Benson also climbed off the bench subs bench to score in the 92nd minute for PEC Zwolle when they posted a 3-1 win over Roda JC.

Heracles Almelo succumbed to a 2-1 home loss to NAC Breda. Dutch-born Jeffrey Sarpong was replaced in second-half stoppage-time but Matthew Amoah was unused by Heracles while Kwame Quansah and Edwin Gyasi were both not in the Heracles team.

Christian Atsu lasted the entire duration of the game for Vitesse Arnhem when they held Feyenoord to a 1-1 stalemate at the Stadion Feijenoord.
