Airtel Ghana has assured customers that the Airtel Insurance cover is completely free and Airtel does not charge customers higher tariffs for registering for the policy.

According to Yaw Antwi Boadu, the Value Added Services Manager, Airtel will pay the premiums on behalf of customers in order to help boost insurance cover for its customers in Ghana. Airtel is working in partnership with MicroEnsure (one of Africa’s most e-nnovative companies) as administrators of claims; and Enterprise Life (Ghana’s number 1 insurance company) as underwriters of the insurance.

As one of the most beneficial free mobile insurance products in the world, this offer has far-reaching implications for the Ghanaian population. Any Ghanaian resident aged 18 to 75 qualifies for the cover, making it the most widely accessible insurance cover in Ghana,”
