Kotoko wallop First Klass in FA Cup

Kumasi Asante Kotoko thrashed a third tier club, First klass fc by three nil in the FA Cup round of 32 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Second division side First Klass fc, based at Asante Juaso chose Baba Yara Sports Stadium as their home grounds, but unfortunately Kotoko ended up walloping them to confirm their superiority on the grounds.

Rahim Ayem’s through ball found Isaac Boakye who located Issah Yakubu to draw the first blood for Kotoko on the 45 th minute, before Isaac Boakye scored his first goal for the Porcupine Warriors in his second coming to the club to make it 2-0.The substitute Aminu Mohammed, scored a classic goal to wrap-up the score line.

This win is a big sigh of relief to the league leaders, Kotoko who managed just a win in five matches during their two weeks camping.

This will propel them for the champions’ league clash against BYC of Liberia on Sunday 9 th February at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Kotoko’s line up: Soulayema Abdoulaye, Joseph Ochaya/Bashiru Osman, Smallboy Korbah, Ohene Brenya, Christopher Bonney, Issah Yakubu, Rahim Ayew, Abdul Aziz/ Stephen Oduro Isaac Boakye/Aminu Mohammed, Prince Baffoe, Eric Donkor.

The round of 32 of the MTN FA Cup kicked off with matches of the clubs representing Ghana in Africa, because they have continental assignment on Sunday 9 th February, when the FA Cup round of 32 continues.
