Ghana will not play Uganda<\/p><\/div>\n
Ghana will not play a friendly match against Uganda before next month\u2019s World Cup qualifiers against Sudan and Lesotho, the Ghana FA has said.<\/strong><\/p>\nUganda FA and the country\u2019s media widely claimed this week that they are on the verge of sealing a friendly against the Black Stars early next month.<\/p>\nThe Cranes say they are courting Ghana for an international friendly before their next 2014 World Cup qualifier against Liberia on June 8 in Kampala.<\/p>\nThis comes after Ghana withdrew from a friendly against Kenya scheduled for Nairobi on 1 June.<\/p>\nThis prompted Uganda to report that they are on the verge of sealing a friendly with Ghana around the same date as the Black Stars cancelled friendly with Kenya.<\/p>\nHowever the Ghana FA insists they will not play any match before they take on Sudan and Lesotho next month.<\/p>\n\u201cWe don\u2019t have any plans of playing Uganda in a friendly in June,\u201d Ghana FA\u2019s Director of Communications Ibrahim Sannie told Happy FM.<\/p>\n\u201cWe have not received an offer to play Uganda. There is nothing concrete on this.
