Under the theme: \u2018Our passion powers Africa\u2019, the company aims to bring the spirit of the game to its consumers. The anthem encourages Africans to stand tall, support their favourite teams, and get involved in the games.<\/p>\n<p>The Samsung Football Anthem, \u201cOur Passion Powers Africa\u201d encourages fans to get involved and share in the spirit of the tournament. The song was produced by Michael Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy, a Nigerian Multi award-winning record producer, singer-songwriter, musician and former CEO of Nigerian record label Mo&#8217; Hits Records.<\/p>\n<p>With lyrics in English, it is a song that talks about celebration and joy among all people, breaking down barriers that would hinder peace and unity. The song is a mix of many genres including pop, electro-house, dance, and African, making it very appealing to a wide range of listeners. Through rhythmic Africa sound and cheering voices of football fans, the Samsung Football Anthem will resonate where football fans are gathered to cheer for their national teams.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfrica, this is your chance to reveal your talent to the world. We want you to be the voice of the continent, so get involved. Music and football are core to what we stand for. As Africa people, this is a great way to show your pride and passion,\u201d says Don Jazzy.<\/p>\n<p>The song will be played at all Samsung Fan Zones and Samsung sponsored Orange AFCON, SOUTH AFRICA 2013 events. People can download the anthem from Samsung Facebook pages in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa. The anthem will build the Africa people\u2019s spirit throughout the tournament and will lead to more engagement and interaction with African football fans.\u201d says Mr. Yung-Kook Lee, Vice President and Head of Global Sports Marketing at Samsung.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSamsung realizes the passion that football and music play across Africa, and see this as an ideal way to engage fans while encouraging participation in the festivities. At Confederation of African Football, we hope it elates the atmosphere surrounding the tournament\u201d says Mr. Amr Shaheen, CAF&#8217;s Marketing and TV Director.<\/p>\n<p>Another way to enjoy the Samsung Football Anthem is to participate at \u2018Sing Don Jazzy Anthem and Win\u2019 competition in Samsung Facebook pages in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
