Bristol City striker Albert Adomah has lamented their penalty miss against Burnley in the English second tier on Saturday vowing that they will fight to beat the drop despite their 3-1 defeat.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Ghana international excelled in the game as he scored the first goal for the club before he was brought down in the box for a penalty in the 80th minute.<\/p>\n

Bristol City, who had taken a 35th-minute lead through Adomah, were trailing only 2-1 at the time and Steven Davies\u2019s penalty was saved by Burnley keeper Lee Grant.<\/p>\n

Moments later Burnley scored to seal the emphatic victory which has left Bristol at the bottom of the table with 24 points but Adomah is confident they can beat the drop.<\/p>\n

\u201cI scored a goal and won a penalty for the team and if that had gone in the result could have been different and we might have come away with a point,\u201d Adomah said at the post match conference.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe always back Steven to put them away but it just didn\u2019t happen for him because the keeper made a great save.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we had won then we could have kept up with the teams above us but it is not over yet and we have to stay positive because we still have five games to keep ourselves in this division.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone is trying to gee each other up and that encouragement is important because when we are down we don\u2019t want to be knocked again.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can still survive but we have been fighting ever since I came here and I try and do my best whenever I get onto the pitch.<\/p>\n
