<\/p>\nAlbert Adomah could be set for central striking role.<\/p><\/div>\n
Ghana winger Albert Adomah is keen on playing in the new position he has been assigned to as he is desperate to help his club Bristol City to beat the drop from the English Championship.<\/strong><\/p>\n The 25-year-old has struggled to break into new\u00a0coach Sean O\u2019Driscoll since he returned to the club after playing at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in February.<\/p>\n Adomah has been used on the right wing since joining the club from Barnet three seasons ago but coach O\u2019Driscoll has given the position to Paul Anderson.<\/p>\n The decision has forced Adomah to look for opportunities elsewhere in Bristol\u2019s starting line-up and excelled in his makeshift role\u00a0as a second striker in their recent 2-0 win over Middlesbrough.<\/p>\n The Ghanaian international admits that Anderson has been playing well in right wing position and that the coach is keen on doing his best to save the club.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is something different for me and it is part of the new manager\u2019s way of doing things,\u201d\u00a0Adomah told The Bristol Post.<\/p>\n \u201cHe wants me to be a part of the team, but has to find the best way to fit me in.<\/p>\n \u201cObviously, he knows I\u2019m a winger, but he also knows I am not the most disciplined of players. I\u2019m honest enough to admit that and it does not embarrass me.<\/p>\n \u201cYou only have to look at Paul Anderson\u2019s performances to see what the manager wants. He works hard and is always coming back into shape and helping the team.<\/p>\n \u201cThe manager thinks maybe I might let the team down if I were to play on the wing, because I like to attack and get forward more. That is my take on it.\u201d<\/p>\n Adomah says he is willing to play in any position to help the club to beat the drop.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have talked about me playing in the centre just behind a main striker and I\u2019m happy with it, just so long as I\u2019m in the team,\u201d the Ghanaian international said.<\/p>\n \u201cTo be honest, if he wants me to play on the wing, I\u2019ll do that, if he wants me to play in the middle I\u2019ll do that and, if he wants me to play at right-back or in goal, I\u2019ll do that as well.<\/p>\n \u201cHe is the boss and you always have to listen to the boss and respect what he says.<\/p>\n \u201cThere are eight games to go and I want to play in every one of them if I can. It does not matter if you are a star or a nobody \u2013 you always want to take part when Saturday comes.<\/p>\n \u201cI did lose the ball a couple of times when playing in the centre, but there were always team-mates behind to cover.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s something I\u2019m working on in training and, the more I play that role, the better I will become.
