By Desmond Kwande (AFP\/File)<\/div>\n<p>&#13;\n    <\/p><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n    &#13;\n  <\/p><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n  &#13;\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"bodytext\">                    &#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>HARARE (AFP) &#8211; Top Zimbabwean human rights lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa remained in police custody Monday, more than 12 hours after a judge ordered her release, her lawyer said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;She is still detained at Rhodesville police station,&#8221; lawyer Harrison Nkomo told AFP, referring to a Harare law enforcement facility.<\/p>\n<p>Mtetwa was arrested on Sunday while assisting aides of Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai during a police raid on their offices.<\/p>\n<p>Police spokeswoman Charity Charamba said Mtetwa was arrested for shouting at detectives.<\/p>\n<p>Late on Sunday, Justice Charles Hungwe ordered Mtetwa&#8217;s release.<\/p>\n<p>Nkomo said the police&#8217;s decision not to immediately heed that order was &#8220;a clear violation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The order was served on all the relevant authorities but she still remains in custody.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile three Tsvangirai&#8217;s staffers &#8212; who were also detained &#8212; have not yet been charged and are still in detention.<\/p>\n<p>They were accused of impersonating police officers.<\/p>\n<p>The incident tainted a referendum held on Saturday on a draft charter expected to pave way for new elections planned for July.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t&#13;\n\t\t\t\t<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"bodytext\"\/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#13; &#13; &#13; Beatrice Mtetwa talks to the press outside the High Court in Harare on April 6, 2008..
