General Secretary of the Peoples National Convention (PNC), Mr. Bernard Monarh, has charged the Minority in Parliament led by Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah- Bonsu to apologize to Ghanaians for what he described as \u201cinconsistency behaviour\u201d on the part of the minority.<\/p>\n

According to him, the NPP MPs have realized that \u201cthey have been shunned\u201d by a large number of Ghanaians and other international bodies, as a result of the unnecessary boycotts; hence their trick to call off their boycotts in disguise by participating in the budget presentation.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur minority participating in the 2013 budget reading tells you how inconsistence they are. They should apologize to Ghanaians for the unnecessary behaviour they have shown over the past weeks,\u201d Mr. Monarh emphasized.<\/p>\n

The NPP MPs who went berserk over the defeat of their flag bearer, Akufo Addo had boycotted all state events, right from the swearing-in of President Mahama, to the vetting of his ministerial appointees and his state of nation address.<\/p>\n

However, they made a quick U-turn earlier this week, indicating that they would partake in the 2013 budget reading because \u201cit is in the interest of the people and not conducted by the President\u201d.<\/p>\n

But the PNC general secretary, who was speaking in the Parliament house right after the 2013 budget had been read,believes this attitude of the minority betrays their intelligence.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cTheir excuse to participate in the budget reading is flimsy. They boycotted the President’s swearing-in occasion, vetting of his ministerial appointees, and his state of nation address.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut here they are participating in the budget reading, have they forgotten that the Finance Minister is working under the authority of the President? This indeed, betrays their intelligence.\u201d<\/p>\n
