{"id":35106,"date":"2013-02-28T10:16:49","date_gmt":"2013-02-28T10:16:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/2013\/02\/attacks-on-my-bookll-not-change-facts-el-rufai\/"},"modified":"2013-02-28T10:16:49","modified_gmt":"2013-02-28T10:16:49","slug":"attacks-on-my-bookll-not-change-facts-el-rufai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2013\/02\/28\/attacks-on-my-bookll-not-change-facts-el-rufai\/","title":{"rendered":"Attacks on my book\u2019ll not change facts \u2013 El-Rufai"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"69\">\n<p>By CHARLES KUMOLU<\/p>\n<p>LAGOS \u2014 FORMER Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has said that attacks on him following his newly published book, would not change the message of the\u00a0 book, saying the contents were facts that happened.<\/p>\n<p>He said this against the backdrop of criticisms from some former public office holders, who described the contents of the book as misleading.<\/p>\n<p>El-Rufai, who said this, yesterday, in Lagos at the public presentation of the book entitled: \u2018The Accidental Public Servant\u2019, disclosed that the concluding part of the book would soon be published.<\/p>\n<p>His words: \u2018\u2019I hope this book will inspire others to write books because the country deserves to know how the government works and worked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did not write about their girlfriends, I only wrote about what happened in government and my experience.\u00a0 And this is what I think we should be doing in this country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey have been attacking me on the issues in the book, but they will not change anything in the book because those are things that happened.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also speaking at the event,Pastor Tunde Bakare of Latter Rain Assembly, challenged those, who are uncomfortable with the book to write theirs, adding that Nigerians need the book to fix all that is wrong with the nation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Comments are moderated.
