{"id":33193,"date":"2013-02-25T22:07:22","date_gmt":"2013-02-25T22:07:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/2013\/02\/good-governance-tour-a-fraud-cdhr\/"},"modified":"2013-02-25T22:07:22","modified_gmt":"2013-02-25T22:07:22","slug":"good-governance-tour-a-fraud-cdhr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2013\/02\/25\/good-governance-tour-a-fraud-cdhr\/","title":{"rendered":"Good Governance tour, a fraud \u2013 CDHR"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"54\">\n<p>By LAJA THOMAS<\/p>\n<p>LAGOS\u2014COMMITTEE for the Defence of Human Rights, CDHR, has said the ongoing \u201cgood governance tour\u201d by the Federal Government is a fraud.<\/p>\n<p>Lagos State coordinator of the committee, Buna Isiak, in a statement said that what the Federal Government was doing by the tour was an aberration that should be condemned by every right thinking Nigerian<\/p>\n<p>Immediate past president of CDHR,\u00a0 Supo Ojo at the 7th memorial lecture in honour of Dr Beko Ransom Kuti,\u00a0 faulted the tour, noting that a situation where the executive was overseeing projects done by \u00a0the same executive was unconstitutional.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cIt is a fraud by a member of the federal executive council and the person leading because he wouldn\u2019t have done that without the consent of the presidency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added that it was unfortunate that most of the governors were falling in line with the illegal allegedactivities of the Labaran Maku-led team.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Comments are moderated.
