{"id":26111,"date":"2013-02-12T14:38:42","date_gmt":"2013-02-12T14:38:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/2013\/02\/akosa-slams-gma\/"},"modified":"2013-02-12T14:38:42","modified_gmt":"2013-02-12T14:38:42","slug":"akosa-slams-gma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2013\/02\/12\/akosa-slams-gma\/","title":{"rendered":"Akosa slams GMA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p class=\"floatLeft\">General News of Tuesday, 12 February 2013<\/p>\n<p class=\"floatRight\"><strong>Source:<\/strong> radioxyzonline.com<\/p>\n<div class=\"floatRight article-right\">\n<p class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img.ghanamma.com\/uploads\/2013\/02\/ca6b68326510.295.jpg\" alt=\"Prof Badu Agyemang Akosa\" title=\"Prof Badu Agyemang Akosa\" width=\"295\" height=\"188\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Former Director General of the Ghana Health Service Professor Agyemang Badu Akosa has equated the current strike by Doctors to \u201ckidnapping\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The former Presidential Aspirant told XYZ Breakfast that he felt \u201cnumb\u201d and \u201csad\u201d, anytime the Ghana Medical Association resorted to strikes as a bargaining chip to get its demands addressed, adding: \u201cIt\u2019s almost like kidnapping the ordinary Ghanaian\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The pathologist-turned-Politician said the Doctors must not use their strike to punish the ordinary Ghanaian who is blameless as far as their current plight is concerned.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2026You only take actions that will hit those whose actions have put you in that position\u201d, Prof Akosa fumed.<\/p>\n<p>He said instead of a blanket strike by the Doctors, \u201cthey can work to rule\u201d to make a point rather than take actions that put the lives of ordinary Ghanaians in peril.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI never understand that\u201d, Prof Akosa said, adding: \u201cA strike action morning, noon and night;
