‘Ghanaians must vote more in X Factor’

The Grandpapa of Hiplife and the only Ghanaian judge on the X Factor reality singing show, Reggie Rockstone, has expressed his disappointment with the failure of Ghanaians to vote massively to keep their own talents in the competition.

Rockstone did not mince words when the show hostess, Toolz, asked his opinion of the show.

‘So far, I’m pretty disappointed with my people. Ghana needs to step up and vote.’

Judge Onyeka Onwenu in concurrence with Rockstone added that her ‘disappointment is that people are enjoying the show quite all right. However, they are sitting back and not participating by voting. They need to vote. It is the only way to get the best person to win’.

Ghana still has two acts left in the competition; Symphony, a three-man singing group from Kumasi and Eshun, a 21 year-old female solo artiste from Accra.

The chances of either bringing home the $150,000 prize money and a recording contract with Sony Music depends on the viewers voting for their preferred artiste.

Obviously the viewers have been impressed with both Ghanaian acts to keep them in the competition this far.

However, Rockstone’s patriotic blood needs more pumping from the viewers.

He urged Ghanaians with these compassionate words ‘My people if you’re watching, you really need to vote. That’s all I got to say.’

Voters are also eligible to win fantastic prizes from Glo recharge cards to smartphones, modems and notebooks.

The system of voting is simply by texting the ‘voting number’ of your favourite contestant(s) to short code 1739.
