Zambia sports minister Chishimba Kambwili has bragged that they will ‘hammer’ Ghana when they two sides clash in a crucial World Cup qualifier in Kumasi next month.

The minister has assured Zambians that government will charter planes to take fans to Ghana for the September 6, Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifier.

The Chipolopolo need to beat the Black Stars in Kumasi to advance to the final play-off place while the Ghanaians just need a draw to advance.

Kambwili says they will send lots of Zambians to Kumasi to help beat the Black Stars and the minister has asked both Supersport and Airtel to charter a plane each to ensure they thrash Ghana.

‘I would like to assure the nation that the national team will hammer Ghana,’ Kambwili as he received an applause from the invited guests.

‘To this effect, I have meetings with both Supersport and Airtel. We have asked them to charter a plane each for the fans. As government, I would to take this opportunity to announce that, ‘Yes, we are chartering planes to Ghana,’ the energetic Kambwili confirmed.

Last week, the Ministry of Sports provided buses to ferry fans to Harare to cheer the local guns in the first of the final round of the CHAN qualifier.

But it is the big one in Kumasi that has everyone talking and for that the government is taking no chance as they want to ensure and give the Chipolopolo every chance of making a maiden appearance at a FIFA World Cup.

Zambia trail Ghana by a point and the eagerly anticipated match will definitely bring the two nations to stand still.
