Mallam Yahaya faces the sack at King Faisal after passing derogatory comments about the appointment of new coach Roberto Carlos Paulette.
The former Ghana international who lost his post to the Peruvian for lack of adequate certification to coach in the Premier League labelled the new Faisal boss as ‘no coach’.
Yahaya has been on rampage ever since losing his job to the certified UEFA Licence A coach.
The recent comments made by the ex Black Stars player has infuriated club officials who will be meeting in the coming days to determine the weight of the punishment to be handed Yahaya which includes giving him the boot.
‘It is very difficult to understand the position of Mallam Yahaya,’ King Faisal’s Public Relations Officer Sakyi Akomea Boateng told GHANAsoccernet.com.
‘First and foremost the decision to appoint Roberto Carlos Paulette was informed by a directive from the Ghana FA that all Premier League coaches should possess a CAF license ‘A’ certificate or its equivalent.
‘Therefore after careful research and deliberations we settled on Carlos Roberto since him Mallam Yahaya does not qualify.
‘We then introduced him to the entire technical team including Mallam Yahaya himself.
‘We however had reports Mallam Yahaya was peeved by the way the new coach was running things.
‘He felt the coach was not consulting him on several fronts and therefore refused to turn up for work for the past four days.
‘And now we hear him on radio ridiculing our coach. This is indiscipline of the highest order which is highly unacceptable.
‘King Faisal as a club will not entertain such things. Management will be meeting in the coming days and a firm decision will be taken on him.
‘I don’t want to pre-empt the decision of the management but I can assure you we will hit hard because this behaviour is just too bad.’
