ZAYN Malik is engaged to girlfriend Perrie Edwards, after the singer proposed this past weekend.
“It was so romantic – Zayn popped the question over the weekend when they were alone together,” a source told Britain’s Daily Mirror.
“It’s one of the first weekends they’ve spent with each other, as they’ve both been on tours with their bands. He wanted to wait for the perfect moment,” the insider added.
“All of [Perrie’s] bandmates were at V Festival, and she couldn’t wait to tell them. They’re all really excited for her, as the rest of One Direction are for Zayn.”
“Zayn got down on one knee and presented Perrie with the ring. She couldn’t believe it. It’s a shock to everyone,” a separate source also added to The Sun.
In a recent interview with Twist magazine, Perrie couldn’t stop gushing about Zayn.
“Zayn is so lovely,” Perrie said.
“You know things are good when you can’t wait to see the other person. It’s a sense of friendship. The main thing I looked for is if he’s fun to be around, if I can have a laugh with him.”
