Seven remain in X Factor

The Nigerian twin set of DNA became the latest to drop from the Glo X Factor music reality show last weekend when they failed to get enough votes to sustain them in the contest.

The DNA twins, Blair and Clinton Roberts, were initially described by many as another ‘P’ Square in the making.

They performed admirably at the various stages of screening and auditioning but their end came over the weekend when they could not win over panel of judges at the eviction show in Lagos.

With the exit of DNA, seven survivors, including two Ghanaian acts – soloist, Eshum and the trio, Symphony are still in the reckoning for prize money of US$150,000 and a juicy recording contract.

DNA fans in the studio audience were sad to see them leave.  Toolz, the show’s moderator who also seemed disappointed with the eviction of the group, advised viewers to always vote for their favourite contestants since that was the only way to keep them in the competition.

The remaining seven contestants including the two Ghanaians Eshum with voting number ‘501’ and Symphony ‘508’ urged  their  fans to keep the votes coming in to keep them in the competition

Members of the public can vote for their favourite contestant by sending the contestant’s voting number via SMS to 1739 from Ghana and to 33680 from Nigeria.

Viewers can watch the eviction shows on Saturdays on Viasat 1 at 4.00pm and GH One at 6:30pm. The performance shows air on Sundays on Viasat 1 at 8.00pm and at 7.00pm on Mondays.
