Mallam Yahaya has laughed off the appointment of Robert Carlos as King Faisal’s new head coach and described him as ‘no coach’.
King Faisal have appointed the Ukrainian-born Spanish who failed to rescue Real Tamale United from relegation after taking over during the second half of the Ghanaian season.
Carlos has been tasked to help Faisal finish in a respectable position in the league (ideally in a top-four place) and lead the Kumasi-based side’s resurgence.
Mallam Yahaya – the former Ghana international, who guided the club to finish in a mid-table place has been relegated to the assistant trainer’s role and he does not feel too happy with that.
‘This white-man (Robert Carlos) is no coach. This man who lead RTU to relegation is no coach,’ he told Asempa FM, an Accra-based Radio Station.
Yahaya was implicated in a bribery scandal at the last game of the 2012/13 season as Tema Youth fans accused him of accepting bribe to help their club to avoid relegation.
