The Chief and people of Osu in Accra have marked this year’s Homowo with calls for peace as the country awaits the Supreme Court verdict on the December, 2012 Election Petition.
At the sidelines of the celebrations, the December 2012 Presidential Candidate of the Great Consolidated Popular Party, Dr. Henry Lartey, hosted a Kpokpoi party for colleague candidates and political party representative.
In an earlier interview on Okay FM, Dr. Henry Lartey, revealed that aim of hosting the high profile guests to mark the annual celebration, was to portray Ghanaians as one people ahead of the Supreme Court verdict.
According to Dr. Lartey, President John Mahama of the NDC, Nana Akufo Addo of the NPP, Hassan Ayariga of the PNC, Dr. Abu Sakara from the CPP and Mr. Joy Osei Yeboah were guests expected to take part in the event.
