Striker Mahatma Otoo has explained his botched move to Club Brugge

Striker Mahatma Otoo explains his supposed move to Belgian side Club Brugge crashed due to disagreement over his continuous stay with the club on trials.

The 21-year-old spent five days at Bruge and was supposed to have signed a five-year-contract for the Pro League side after passing medicals.

But Brugge insisted he prolong his stay for coach Juan Carlos Garrido to further assess his striking qualities but Hearts of Oak refused and asked the Ghana international striker to join Norwegian side Sogndal.

After making two appearances in the Norwegian top-flight, both in substitute appearances.

‘I was supposed to sign for them after the medicals but they wanted me to stay more and train further but there were more clubs who showed interest and I moved to Norway,’ he said.

Otoo won the Ghana Premier League top scorer award after scoring 20 league and 24 in all competitions.
