Michael Helegbe, Richard Mpong , Kwabena Edusei and Michael Akuffo did not make the Asante Kotoko trip for their pre-season camp in Tamale on Wednesday.

The quartet have been invited to the home-based Ghana national team to prepare for an international friendly against Libya.

New signing Joseph Addo also failed to make the trip as he has also been called into the local Black Stars who begin camping in Obuasi on Wednesday.

These five players are expected to join the Kotoko team after their national team assignment.

The Porcupine Warriors will be spending 10 days in Tamale to finalize preparations towards their Premier League defence which begins on September 15 against Aduana Stars.
