One hundred and eighty loyal customers of Global Access Savings and Loans Company were last Friday rewarded in the grand draw of the company’s ‘save and win promotion’ held in Accra.
The ultimate prize of a Hyundai i10 salon car went to Musa Yakubu Zina, a resident of Fadama in Accra. Other prizes given out included LCD television sets, table top fridges, Samsung cellular phones, steam pressing irons, shopping vouchers and wax prints. The promotion had run from May 13, 2013 to June 14, 2013.
The promotion, which lasted for a month and held in the 14 branches of the company, was aimed at encouraging and promoting the culture of savings among Ghanaians.
It also sought to mobilise funds to balance the company’s deposit mobilisation mix; grow its customer base as well as create brand awareness, among other things.
The Head of Accounts at the bank, Mr James Brew, announced that although the bank’s original target for the promotion was GH¢900,000 the figure was exceeded by GH¢163,975.
That, he said, was an indication that more people were gradually embracing the culture of savings.
The South Area Manager of the bank, Mr Isaac Arthur, expressed profound gratitude to customers and gave an assurance that although the company was very young, it was going to strive to provide the best of services to its customers.
