Celebrate Homowo In Unity – Alhaji Tetteh

Alhaji Antieye Tetteh, Kpone-Katamanso District Chief Executive Officer, has called on the people of Kpone to celebrate this year’s Homowo festival in unity irrespective of their political and religious affiliations.

Alhaji Tetteh added that the need for unity could not be overemphasized, especially as the country awaits the verdict of the Supreme Court on the election petition.

He made the call on Tuesday when he presented 10 bags of maize and 10 gallons of palm oil worth GH¢3,900 to the ten major clans of Kpone.

The DCE made the presentation on behalf of Mr Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, Member of Parliament for the Kpone-Katamanso Constituency and Volta Regional Minister.

He indicated that with peace and unity, the people of Kpone could collaborate with the Assembly to develop the town.

Mr Michael Obleteye, Head of Family of Appiah We, receiving the items on behalf of the clans, thanked the MP and the DCE for the kind gesture and prayed for peace for the town and the country as a whole.

The ten clans that benefitted from the donation were Kojo We, Bediako We, Sanshie We, Appiah We and Antieye We.

Others were Ofosu We, Aklotia We, Agyeman We, Nii Din We and Nuerteytse we.
