Tanko rejoins his former club after leaving Medeama at the end of last season.
The 22-year-old refused to extend his contract with the Mauves and Yellows after a two-year stint and will be expected to lead the attack of the Kpando-based side this term.
Heart of Lions are keen to an improved this term after struggling for the past two seasons.
