Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko will play their title defence opener against Aduana Stars, the Premier League Board has confirmed.
The Kumasi-based side are yet to complete the three-match home ban handed the club for crowd violence.
The Porcupine Warriors paid for the misconduct by their supporters who attacked match officials and players of Medeama after a Ghana Premier League in May.
Kotoko served two of the bans after hosting Aduana in Sunyani and AshantiGold in Essipong in last season’s title run-in.
The club will complete the ban when the new season gets underway.
‘The PLB will sit and decide. By the end of this month we will announce to Kotoko and their opponents where the match will be played,’ PLB boss Welbeck Abra-Appiah said.’
