England: Arsenals did not show us respect, Alan Pardew

Newcastle Manager Alan Pardew thinks Arsenal did not show them any respect by tabling a bid of around £10million to take the french footballer Yohan Cabaye from their camp just hours after they opened their 2013/14 league campaign away at Manchester City.
We have prepared with the lad for some days now and for him to have his head turned by this bid by Arsenal is just disrespectful in my view,” said Pardew  after his side were beaten 4-0 at Etihad Stadium. Pardew compared the disruption caused to Cabaye to that created by bids for Liverpools Luis Suarez and Tottenham’s Gareth Bale.

Pardew feels Arsenal should have waited until Tuesday morning before making their move, accusing the north London outfit of being ‘disrespectful’. The Newcastle  Manager also believes that the concept of the transfer window needs to be addressed, with the current format leaving clubs in danger of losing key men after the season has already started.

Sides have until 2nd September to complete their summer business this year, and Alan Pardew feels the authorities need to look at rescheduling deadline day in order to create a fairer playing field
