Energy Minister Honored

The Ghana Federation for the Disabled (GFD) in the Ellembelle District had honoured the Minister for Energy and Petroleum Resources, Mr.Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah for his avowed commitment to the plight of the disabled.

According to the Federation, since Mr. Buah took the seat as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembele, the welfare of the disabled had continued to be one of his priorities.

President of the Federation in Ellembelle, Mr. George Mozu, presented a certificate of recognition and a local smock as an award to Mr. Buah at an impressive ceremony in Takoradi.

Mr. Mozu recalled that since the Association was launched in 2007 at Esiama, Mr. Buah had assisted them though he had not even gone to Parliament.

He mentioned T-Shirts, crutches, wheel-chairs and other mobility equipment as well as other forms of assistance the MP had made available to the Federation over the years.

Receiving the award, Mr. Buah further pledged his untiring effort towards humanitarian gesture to make the disabled feel part of society.

He reminded Ghanaians of the need to lend support to the disabled on individual capacities and the nation as a whole.
