The Star Micro-insurance Services Limited, a subsidiary of Star Life and Star Assurance Company Limited, has launched a loan protection scheme for members of the Ghana Association of Microfinance Companies (GAMC) to provide insurance solutions to its members.
This was disclosed by the Managing Director of Star Life, Mr George Addison, when he made a presentation to the GAMC members at their second annual general meeting (AGM) held at the GNAT Hall in Accra last Friday.
The Star Microinsurance products will provide members with insurance solutions to reduce risk and liability to microfinance companies in the country.
In line with this, the Star Microinsurance Services Limited has embarked on a five-zonal sensitisation programme in the Northern, Western, Greater Accra, Ashanti and the Brong Ahafo regions to train members on the loan protection scheme, its enrolment, procedures and benefits.
